REVIEW: Ashley and James were the last to ride The Beast before the park closed and it was a blast. However, after the ride was done they were separated and then were locked in the park. Ashley then had a great idea. Why not stay in the park all night and see if they could find the ghost that supposedly haunted The Beast. Dodging security guards, they made their way back to The Beast where they met P.D Walter, a man who tested The Beast at night. He offered to let them ride the rollercoaster and when they did, they found themselves on the ride of their lives. Somehow, they ended up in 1931 at Firelight Park the day a tornado would sweep through and destroy the park killing hundreds of people. Ashley and James have to find P.D and warn the people before the tornado strikes. What happens next? You'll have to read to find out.
OPINION: I have wanted to read this Goosebumps book for awhile because The Beast roller coaster is my favorite. The descriptions of the actual ride brought me back. This was a typical Goosebumps book with quick thrills, some cliffhangers at the end of chapters, and a fun ride. Goosebumps books are not known to be quality literature but they are fun to read.
IDEAS: One could of course read other books in the Goosebumps series. Because this book is based on the roller coaster The Beast at King's Island you could get on YouTube and watch videos of people riding it or look up the history of the ride.
